Kelly Schmidt, AuD, CCC-A
Kelly Schmidt is the audiologist at Midwest Hearing Aid Center, LLC. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the State of Kansas and Missouri to practice audiology.
Dr. Schmidt received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center of Kansas City, Kansas and completed her Clinical Fellowship at Boys Town National Research Hospital of Omaha, Nebraska. Following her fellowship, Dr. Schmidt worked as a cochlear implant audiologist in Chicago, Illinois.
Ron Burch, MA, CCC-A
Ron Burch is a staff audiologist at Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat, LLC He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the State of Kansas to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids.
Mr. Burch received his Master's Degree from the University of Tulsa and extended his audiology education at the University of Kansas. He has over 20 years of experience in the Kansas City area.
David K. Hill, MD, FACS
David Hill MD, FACS, is a board certified otolaryngologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons providing personalized and compassionate care to patients across the Kansas City metropolitan area. From Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Hill completed his undergraduate training at Vanderbilt University, and medical school training at The University of Alabama. He then completed his residency training in general otolaryngology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Hill believes that relationships built on trust and communication provide the best environment for medical care. He welcomes patient questions and it is important to him that his patients understand their illnesses and treatment plans, and are involved in the medical decision-making process.
Dr. Hill’s clinical interests are broad, but he is especially passionate about pediatric otolaryngology, as well as adult sinus and allergy disease, and thyroid/parathyroid disease. Dr. Hill uses innovative and minimally invasive techniques in his office to treat sinus patients, often avoiding the expense and risk of general anesthesia in the hospital setting.
Dr. Hill is married and he and his wife are fortunate to have three sons. He enjoys hiking, fly fishing or doing just about anything with his family. He also writes country and pop songs for artists in the Nashville, Los Angeles, New York and Canadian radio markets.
Brian A. Metz, MD, FACS
A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Metz has served in medical staff leadership at Olathe Medical Center including chief of surgery.
His undergraduate degree is in cell biology, and he studied at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School before returning to KU to study medicine. Following graduation, he completed his internship in General Surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, followed by a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the KU Medical Center.
Dr. Metz is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. He is called upon regularly to make presentations on sinusitis and other topics before professional meetings.
Dr. Metz is a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. He and his wife have two daughters.
